While I do not yet have any actual experience in the field of bioinformatics, I do have considerable experience in computer science. In some cases, this may be more important to be successful in bioinformatics than the biological knowledge. My degree in cybernetic engineering exposed me to some aspects of biology, and I am currently working on my Professional Certificate in Bioinformatics from UCSD.
